Your role at Clorox:
This role supports sanitation, pre-weigh, and processing activities within the Compounding department. You will accurately clean an assortment of equipment, prepare and measure raw materials, and perform batching operations. The purpose of this position is to provide support across multiple areas within the Compounding department. Consistent adherence to department quality specifications and operational procedures is essential to ensure successful production.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Start Pay Rate: $25.96 per hour + 2nd Shift Shift Differential
In this role, you will:
- Clean and sanitize Legacy and Ekato kettles.
- Break down equipment for cleaning and reassemble it after sanitization.
- Inspect equipment visually to verify cleanliness before storage.
- Return cleaned equipment to designated storage locations.
- Change cleaning chemicals as required and maintain proper handling practices.
- Complete all sanitation documentation accurately and timely.
- Monitor machine operations and report issues as they arise.
- Communicate effectively with team members to clarify urgency of cleaning equipment in a timely manner.
- Perform additional sanitation or operational responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform pre-weigh activities by accurately measuring and preparing raw materials per documentation.
- Formulate raw materials into finished bulk following BMPs and quality guidelines.
- Execute batching and processing operations including equipment setup, mixing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Use EWM and MES systems to execute, confirm, and document batches with full traceability.
- Work with the shift lead to troubleshoot EWM/MES-related issues such as scanning errors, posting discrepancies, and workflow interruptions.
- Verify raw materials including lot number, expiration date, and quantity accuracy before batching.
- Assist with pilot batch production and scaling for full manufacturing.
- Collaborate with Engineering and R&D to improve BMPs, processes, and troubleshooting methods.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in problem-solving activities.
- Train new and current employees on processing, sanitation, and system procedures.
- Maintain cGMP-compliant housekeeping throughout compounding areas
What we look for:
- High School Diploma required. Some post high school education is preferred. Education can be substituted with four to six years of compounding/formulating in a manufacturing environment.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and hauling weight more than 1000 pounds on a hand truck.
- Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated experience fixing processing equipment strongly preferred.
- Ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and work with minimal supervision is required.
- Good fundamental math and reading comprehension skills and the ability to convert between metric and English measurement systems (lbs → kg → g).
- Demonstrated ability in analytical reasoning skills is required.
- Demonstrated abilities of resourcefulness, good judgment, attention to details and a strong work ethic are required.
- Must speak and write English.
- Must have good verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to working in different assignments daily
- Positive attitude and willingness to put department priorities first
