Process Support Operations Analyst

The Process Support team helps maintain the flow of operations within multiple departments and improve the process within those departments. We are a fast-paced and driven operations department with a focus on quality and open communication.

As a Process Support Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting, analyzing, and improving processes across multiple departments. A primary responsibility of this role will be supporting other lines of business in operations during planned and unplanned absences. The Operations Analyst will also perform process reviews in the direction of the manager. These reviews will be communicated to leadership and used for justifications for projects and improvement opportunities that the analyst will lead. Special projects may also be assigned in the direction of the manager. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities, which will include multiple initiatives assigned by Bank Operations leadership. 

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote, 8:00-5:00 PM) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.

How you will spend your time:

  • Provide subject matter support to the team and business partners in unpredictable scenarios.
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers, managers, and business partners to create, evaluate, and present reports.
  • Maintain documentation, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Process data accurately while performing multiple tasks.
  • Create and produce reports to analyze operational data, reconcile inconsistencies, and to identify trends or performance issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth research utilizing a variety of reports and systems.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for operational enhancement.
  • Lead projects and improvement initiatives based on process analysis.

We are excited to talk if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of equivalent experience with banking or financial processing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of bank services and operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • A highly motivated self-starter mindset with the ability to determine priorities, plan, organize, and follow through on tasks.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, & SharePoint).

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Knowledge of UMB Consumer banking products, services, systems, and policies and procedures.
  • Experience with business analytics (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of UMB Commercial/business banking products, services, systems, and policies and procedures.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.

Compensation Range:

$44,790.00 - $86,510.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
