Training & Development: Coordinate and track employee training programs to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Maintain training records and identify opportunities for skill development within the team. Manage work load and tasks of site trainers
Human Resources Support: Monitor and manage employee attendance, including tracking time off, tardiness, and absenteeism. Work with HR to manage new hire orientation, onboarding, and performance reviews. Collaborate to change, create, and enforce plant policy changes.
Disciplinary Action: Collaborate with supervisors and HR to assist in documenting and enforcing disciplinary actions, as needed, in accordance with company policies.
Process Improvement: Identify, analyze, and implement improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety. Act as a liaison between the production floor and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead daily audits of key initiatives to ensure successful change management.
Supervisor Backup: Provide coverage for production supervisors during their absence, ensuring continuity in operations, workflow management, and team supervision.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate production records, including performance metrics, process updates, and compliance documentation. Assist in preparing reports and presentations as needed.
Quality Support: Partner with the Quality team to support investigations into production defects, material waste, and process deviations. Collect and analyze production data, document findings, and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Accounting Support: Collaborate with the Accounting and Operations teams to audit production and material transactions, ensuring accuracy between physical inventory, system records, and financial reports. Investigate discrepancies, validate cost allocations, and support month-end reconciliation and reporting activities. Lead and execute the operational requirements of physical inventories.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with administrative or process-related responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in using production management software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AS400, Workday, and other relevant tools.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
Education:
Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering is preferred, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced manufacturing facility, requiring both office-based administrative work and regular presence on the production floor.
Willingness to work after hours to support production needs
Willingness to cover supervision gaps on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
