Job Responsibilities
Work in a team environment to support the plant Safety, Operations and Engineering departments with documentation and projects. Responsible for ensuring and maintaining the plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Lock Out, Tag Out Procedures (LOTOs), and other documentation as needed by the plant and in accordance with Responsible Care initiatives. Assist in developing SOP, LOTO, and documentation systems to meet the needs of an ever-evolving facility. Will work closely with the Safety, Production, Maintenance and Engineering departments to ensure company goals and standards are met.
- Creation, revision, and maintenance of SOPs for Operations, Maintenance, QC/QA departments.
- Supervise implementation of Process safety document revisions and distribution of revisions into SharePoint or other systems
- Provide document support for training team members on process, Hazmat and other process operations as needed
- Administer, audit and monitor programs important to the facility’s success, including: environmental, safety, operations, and maintenance for compliance to SOP and other programs
- Supports changes as per MOC system
- Active resource for the implementation and ongoing support of Responsible Care. Major duties include: managing the Aspect & Impact register, and other duties pertaining to Responsible Care as they arise
- Finalizes drafts of Process safety documentation generated by others
- Work closely with the Safety, Production, Maintenance and Engineering departments to ensure company goals and standards are met.
- Serves as a resource for facility process safety.
- Leads the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, including creation, revision and maintenance of PHA’s.
- Serve as site FOCUS facilitator
- Maintain a working knowledge of plant processes.

Qualifications
- B.S. in Business, Technical or Scientific field preferred and/or 5 years of experience in a plant environment with technical requirements.
- Significant verifiable technical experience, preferably in an industrial or similar environment
- Ability to quickly understand processes
- Ability to translate process understanding to useable documentation for others
- Strong technical writing skills
- Able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Able to recognize and communicate to management any difficulties or problems as related to this position's essential duties and responsibilities
- Strong computer base skills (Word, Excel)
