A Day in the Life:
As a Process Operator at our Warden canola processing facility, you will play a hands‑on role in producing high‑quality food and feed products that support local communities and global markets. This position is responsible for operating production systems, performing quality analysis, and maintaining plant cleanliness to optimize product quality and production efficiency. Safety and food safety are top priorities, and this role directly contributes to reliable plant operations and continuous improvement.
Position Details:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate canola crushing and/or refining systems in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
- Perform quality testing using laboratory equipment on raw ingredients, meal, and oil through crude, refined, bleached, and deodorized processing stages.
- Make process adjustments using PLC systems to meet quality and production specifications.
- Monitor equipment for wear or potential damage; perform minor repairs and assist maintenance teams as required.
- Conduct in‑depth cleaning of plant equipment, pipes, tanks, and processing areas according to cleaning schedules and maintain required documentation.
- Receive and offload process chemicals following established safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate shift logs and operational records to support audits, traceability, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in a grain processing, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts and perform physically demanding duties safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
