Process Operative – Ketton Cement

Purpose of the Role
The Process Operative is responsible for carrying out process line checks, autonomous maintenance tasks, housekeeping duties, and the movement of materials across the site. This role requires a high level of flexibility to ensure site standards are maintained and production targets are consistently achieved.
Key Accountabilities
- Actively promote and adhere to Health & Safety standards.
- Support the operations team by completing routine and non‑routine checks around the plant.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site, including operation of vacuumation units.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving production interruptions.
- Carry out production sampling as required.
- Perform tower cleaning tasks such as Cardox use, lancing, and high‑pressure water jetting.
- Move materials including fuels, raw materials, wastes, and by‑products.
- Complete additional production tasks such as fan blade cleaning, filter bag/cartridge replacement, unblocking chutes and hoppers, equipment cleaning, and plant inspections.
- Assist maintenance personnel with their duties.
- Undertake first‑line/autonomous maintenance and lubrication tasks.
- Operate mobile plant equipment and gantry cranes.
- Conduct environmental checks and compliance monitoring.
- Work shifts and accommodate flexible working hours as required.
- Carry out any other related tasks as requested.
