As a Process Excellence Lead within our Business Operations Transformation team, you'll drive the methodology and framework development for Global Process Owners (GPOs) while maintaining the enterprise taxonomy and quality standards. This role ensures consistent process excellence across Sanofi through framework development, quality standards, and measurement systems, working in close collaboration with GPOs. The Process Excellence team owns and manages the GPO Model, provides methodology & support on the capabilities expected from GPOs for all processes in Sanofi.
Main responsibilities:
GPO Capability Framework & Methodology: Develop and maintain the methodology framework for all capabilities expected from Global Process Owners, act as methodology expert while respecting that execution remains the responsibility of GPOs and Process Board, support capability assessment and development planning for GPOs, and participate actively in GPO project deployment
Quality Standards & Performance Management: Design and implement KPIs to measure GPO blueprint implementation effectiveness, process performance and maturity, core model adherence, and documentation effectiveness as per Simple to Operate. Lead benchmarking initiatives including conducting internal and external benchmarking of E2E process maturity, evaluating process performance against industry standards, and identifying best practices and improvement opportunities
Taxonomy Framework Management: Own and evolve the enterprise process taxonomy framework, maintain the hierarchical structure of process classification, develop and implement framework evolution strategies, select and manage appropriate tools for taxonomy maintenance, conduct competitive analysis to ensure Sanofi's taxonomy remains best-in-class, and facilitate taxonomy governance through appropriate channels and stakeholders
Core Model & Playbook Management: Support GPOs in core model adherence reviews and coordinate the update of the Sanofi playbook ensuring it remains current and relevant, aligned with best practices, accessible and user-friendly, and consistent with Simple to Operate principles
Global Process Organization Governance: Drive the Global Process Committee by organizing and facilitating regular committee meetings and ensuring effective decision-making and escalation processes. Establish and maintain governance framework by implementing and overseeing the agreed governance model for the Global Process Organization, monitor governance effectiveness and recommend improvements, develop and maintain governance documentation and guidelines, and track governance maturity and compliance across the organization
GPO Collaboration and Communication: Establish and manage communication channels for GPOs, create platforms for knowledge sharing and best practice exchange, engage with leadership to ensure framework alignment with Sanofi's strategic goals, communicate regularly to GPOs, Global Risk Owners (GROs) Communities and Governance to ensure consistent implementation of methodologies and enable E2E Process initiatives and issue resolutions, and facilitate executive-level governance meetings, workshops, and regular meetings to ensure adoption across the organization
GPO-GRO Integration: Ensure effective connection and collaboration between Global Process Owners and Global Risk Owners, develop frameworks and mechanisms for GPO-GRO alignment, ensure risk considerations are integrated into process design and improvement, monitor and strengthen the GPO-GRO relationship effectiveness, and create shared tools and approaches that bridge process and risk perspectives
Team Leadership & People Development: Lead the process excellence team, directly supervise and develop a small team of 2-3 professionals, foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement, evaluate team performance, determine training needs, and develop talent
Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in process management and/or quality management, document management
Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects in a complex organization
Ability to manage complex workflows and ensure timely completion of document reviews and change requests
Leadership skills, including experience in mentoring and developing a team, setting goals, and driving performance within a collaborative and innovative environment
Experience working in a matrix environment with regional or global stakeholders will be a plus
Skills:
Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering training, addressing inquiries, and interacting with various stakeholders. Collaborative approach and team orientation. Strong problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and optimizing operational efficiency. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of process governance frameworks. Experience with taxonomy management and evolution. Knowledge of benchmarking methodologies. Expertise in developing and implementing quality standards. Strong understanding of process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.). Framework development and methodology design capabilities. Quality management expertise. Benchmarking and performance measurement skills. Strong governance and standard-setting abilities
Education:
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar field
Languages:
Fluent English, both written and verbal
