Process Engineering Technician (Electronics)

Job Summary:
This individual will be responsible for support related to the MicroNIR and post coating operations within Viavi Solutions. This role involves optical assembly, electrical manufacturing and testing for new products and tools. Additionally, the individual will provide ongoing RMA support and troubleshooting assistance for the production team. This role requires close collaboration with the engineering team to establish systematic solutions and processes that enhance throughput, process consistency, and training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair optoelectronic assemblies.

• Own the internal RMA testing, diagnostics, and repairs with support from Engineering

• Interface with production personnel to provide manufacturing guidance, training and problem solving.

• Assist the transfer of new products from Engineering to Production ownership.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement activities in manufacturing.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Education/Experience/Knowledge Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting and reworking electrical assemblies.

• Experience in low volume, high product mix environments.

• Proven track record of working with engineering to drive systemic solutions to the production floor.

• Demonstrated capability of working with production to meet customer specifications, expectations and on time delivery.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with internal, external and international customers.

• Product development experience is desirable.

• Ability to be US Classified preferable

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Bias for action.
