As our next Process Engineering Supervisor, you will lead the automation and assembly team in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing automation cells. You will drive process capability, productivity, and root‑cause problem resolution while supporting new product launches and long‑term business growth in a safety‑focused, quality‑driven environment.

Leading the development and implementation of new production automation cells and equipment projects
Managing all aspects of automation project execution, including planning, resourcing, procurement, installation, and commissioning
Providing full supervisory leadership for direct reports in alignment with company and departmental policies
Ensuring compliance with all Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
Driving internal customer satisfaction through strong launch support and continuous improvement initiatives
Coaching and mentoring engineering team members to achieve manufacturing and business objectives
Managing capital acquisition projects, including vendor selection and supplier management
Implementing and documenting Automotive Operating Systems such as APQP, PPAP, and QOS
Ensuring equipment modifications include appropriate safety and ergonomic safeguards
Supporting CAD‑based tool and fixture design in collaboration with tooling teams
Leading debugging, run‑off, and implementation of automation and assembly equipment
Supporting Quality Engineering in PPAP development and Run‑at‑Rate performance testing
Providing technical guidance to Johnson Electric facilities related to automation, tooling performance, and cost‑reduction opportunities
Driving regional continuous improvement initiatives aligned with annual CI targets
Performing additional duties as required to support engineering and manufacturing objectives
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field
5–10+ years of hands‑on experience in automated assembly process development
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Technical expertise in:
PLCs and programmable logic
Robotics and vision systems
Automated handling systems (AGVs, AVI, air‑proofing, etc.)
Electro‑mechanical systems
Proficiency with FMEA and GD&T
Strong understanding of automotive quality systems and requirements (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001)
Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict‑management, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to synthesize and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
High level of integrity, dependability, and results orientation
