The Senior Process Engineer leads the development, optimization, and validation of manufacturing processes and equipment from pilot phase through full-scale production, serving as a technical expert and project lead to improve process capability, enhance product quality, drive operational efficiency, and ensure scalable, compliant manufacturing outcomes while supporting cross-functional collaboration and mentoring engineering teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead process development from pilot trials to full-scale production by defining process formulations, equipment requirements, and scalable manufacturing parameters (30%).
Evaluate and optimize existing processing methods, automation strategies, and production techniques to meet cost, quality, performance, and reliability targets (25%).
Compile and analyze process and material test data to establish control limits, material specifications, process variables, and quality standards across the production lifecycle (20%).
Investigate complex manufacturing issues, analyze nonconformance trends, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement and process consistency initiatives (15%).
Collaborate with engineering, quality, scientific teams, suppliers, and customers while mentoring engineers, developing documentation, and supporting technology implementations and equipment modifications (10%).
Representative Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
6–10+ years of progressive experience in process or manufacturing engineering
Demonstrated success developing, scaling, and optimizing manufacturing processes
Deep expertise in process design, root cause analysis, SPC, and quality systems
Strong understanding of automation, process validation, and industrial safety standards
Proven ability to apply engineering judgment and data-driven problem-solving
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working cross-functionally in dynamic production environments
Commitment to mentoring, continuous improvement, and fostering a quality-focused team culture
