As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.  

 

 

General Profile

Requires solid knowledge and experience in chemistry, with a focus on formulation and characterization of advanced optical materials (e.g., coatings, polymers, electrochromic layers). Continues to develop expertise in photonic and optoelectronic material systems. Builds understanding of laboratory processes and company objectives. Works on moderately complex formulation and testing tasks, analyzing solutions using established chemical and analytical methods. Operates under moderate guidance and direction.

·       Problem Solving: Working experience applying chemical principles to resolve formulation and performance challenges.

·       Communication & Collaboration: Working experience in preparing technical documentation and presenting findings.

·       Attention to Detail: Basic understanding of precision in formulation and testing processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

1.      Develop and optimize chemical formulations for advanced optical materials, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

2.      Perform material characterization using techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and thermal analysis.

3.      Conduct performance testing of formulated materials under optical and environmental conditions.

4.      Troubleshoot formulation and performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose corrective actions.

5.      Collect and analyze chemical and optical data, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for design improvements.

6.      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material compatibility with optical systems and prototypes.

7.      Evaluate and implement new chemical processes and analytical tools for advanced material development.

8.      Contribute to internal documentation for formulation procedures, test protocols, and material specifications.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering or related field.
