About the job

As part of our Technical Excellence Team, you’ll be joining a team of 20+ professionals globally based including Bid Engineers, Thermal Design engineer and, of course, other Process engineers with the mission to support our Global Sales forces to promote Welded heat exchangers with the designs that best fit our Customers’ actual needs on applications ranging from traditional markets (ex. O&G) till cutting-edge Cleantech applications. To do so, you’ll be connected to our network of professionals within the WCT BU operating in R&D, Product Management, Engineering, Service and Operations that will be happy to share their knowledge and experience.

Key responsibilities for role entail:

  • Thermal Design Optimization via in-house Alfa Laval software with focus on Spiral Heat Exchanger and Welded Plate Heat Exchanger (Compabloc) so to provide the most compact and performing unit
  • Participate in our Sales offering (ex. Hydraulic analysis, P&ID reviews, Start-up guidance, heat exchanger best technology selection, Operations support in execution)
  • Troubleshooting / Claims technical support to Client working on root cause analysis to provide design/process recommendation for resolution
  • Deliver training/learning activities to secure knowledge and inspire effective work. 

The position is based preferably in Lund (other locations can be evaluated also based on candidate profile) and travelling is estimated to about 30 days per year.  

What you know

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, or equivalent combined with several years of technical experience working with heat exchangers and hydrocarbon processes. Your technical experience comes paired with a solid commercial mindset and customer-focused approach. We trust you are result-oriented and thrive from identifying solutions, capable of translating technical knowledge into practical, value-adding solutions for customers. Proficiency in English both written and spoken is a must for this role.
