Performs EKG following explanation of procedure to patient and completion of required paperwork.
Maintaining correct billing of EKGs, Holter monitors, and Stress testing.
Prepares patient for procedure and assists physician during stress test.
Prepares the patient and explains Holter monitor procedure and performs Holter monitor scans.
Cleans and maintains equipment.
Ability to use all forms of stress equipment.
Charts all procedures on IP and takes OP results to Medical Records.
Performs CPR when asked and responds to Trauma and Code Blues.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Preferred Education and Experience
High School Graduate or GED.
Less than 1 year performing cardiac procedures or EKG and Stress Test procedures.
Less than 1 year work experience as an EMT and or paramedic.
Required Licensure and Certification
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) within 90 Days
Preferred Licensure and Certification
Arrhythmia course within 90 Days
National EKG Certification
