PRM Scrum Master and Release Manager

Job Overview

The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Agile delivery for moderately complex projects and programs at IQVIA. This role validates project scope, plans, and schedules; applies Agile and delivery standards; and supports successful product and project releases into production. The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure consistent execution, transparency, and continuous improvement while removing impediments and enabling teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Validate project scope, plans, and schedules for moderately complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with delivery objectives and timelines
  • Adhere to and help define metrics for project success, beginning to recommend appropriate delivery and team performance metrics
  • Apply and reinforce delivery standards, including:
    • Agile delivery processes
    • Defined roles and responsibilities
    • Operational norms
    • Compliance and governance requirements
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Backlog Refinement
    • Daily Scrum (Stand‑ups)
    • Sprint Review
    • Sprint Retrospective
  • Support Product Owners in:
    • Short‑ and long‑term release planning
    • Maintaining a healthy, prioritized Product Backlog
  • Maintain clarity and enforcement of the team’s Definition of Done
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery issues; escalate appropriately to management and stakeholders
  • Manage project delivery processes, including scope, schedule, and costs, under broad supervision
  • Drive projects and programs to completion while maintaining delivery discipline
  • Manage and document product and project releases to production; highlight and mitigate risks to delivery
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships; develop and execute communication plans
  • Support organizational change by:
    • Identifying project impacts
    • Building awareness and support for change
    • Contributing to training and adoption activities
  • Evaluate project outcomes against success metrics and recommend or implement improvements to processes, resources, and solutions
  • Proactively remove impediments and shield delivery teams from external disruptions
  • Consistently deliver established team reporting, status updates, and guidance metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead on software development teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and iterative delivery practices
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder communication and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Experience supporting production releases and delivery in regulated or structured environments is an asset

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $87,000.00 - $217,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
