Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of private banking clients.

  • Provide comprehensive financial reviews and periodic relationship check-ins to evaluate client needs.

  • Maintain strong client satisfaction through timely correspondence and proactive service.

  • Cross-sell additional financial services including investment products, trust services, life insurance, lending solutions, and deposit accounts to deepen client relationships.

Business Development

  • Generate quality leads by working with Commercial Lenders and external Centers of lnfluence (COls).

  • Expand existing relationships through strategic financial planning and tailored solutions.

  • Grow and maintain balances across deposits, loans, and investment/insurance fee income.

  • Leverage Salesforce to track pipeline activities, sales efforts, and client interactions.

Financial Planning & Product Solutions

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive financial plans customized to client goals.

  • Present appropriate investment strategies and insurance solutions to meet wealth management and protection needs.

  • Collaborate with internal partners (investment advisors, mortgage/lending teams, insurance specialists, treasury management specialists, and commercial lenders) for holistic client service.

Credit & Deposit Management

  • Maintain and grow existing credit & deposit portfolio.

  • Process loan renewals and ensure all required documentation is collected accurately and on time.

  • Monitor and manage loan and deposit exceptions, overdrafts, and past-due items.

  • Coordinate with back-office teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in account and loan documentation.

  • Maintain a disciplined process for financial tracking, reporting, and exception management.

Miscellaneous

  • Leverage Salesforce to track pipeline activities, sales efforts, and client interactions.

  • Validate reporting for commercial banker partnerships to ensure accurate referral and financial payouts.

  • Maintain a current knowledge of current events and key economic data points

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in wealth management/private banking discipline.

  • Strong business presence with proven track record in business development with COI connections. 

  • Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial planning, tax strategies, retirement and estate planning, risk management, and wealth management products.  

  • Credit: Familiarity with various lending products for both businesses and consumers, along with a solid understanding of the underwriting process.

  • Client Relationships: Ability to build connections and provide personalized advice that meets clients' goals; simplify complex concepts. 

  • Sales Skills: Proactive in pursuing new business; comfortable with client outreach and portfolio growth; strong negotiation skills.  

  • Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.  

  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with different departments to deliver client solutions.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $141,000 - $190,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
