Details of the Division and Team:
Operations is responsible for driving the planning and the day-to-day management of the business to align with the bank's mission and strategic goals.
Operations set the direction and manage performance to bank targets with a focus on continual performance improvement. Work includes:
Identifying and prioritizing product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation
Utilising comprehensive knowledge of the company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business
Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk
Maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors and internal divisions
Communicating changes to operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls
The successful candidate will provide a full spectrum of Middle Office tasks within Private Bank Operations Team including checking various reports and verifying accuracy and validity of transactions via 4 eyes checking as part of business control functions and to meet regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities:
Verify all cash transactions including manual payment, cash withdrawal & Cashier Order deposit (if required) and ensure they are adhered to in accordance with the policy/guideline
Prepare ad-hoc reports in excel by extracting relevant information from transaction data.
Perform Independent call back function as per internal policy for payments and client’s static data change
Perform signature verification on client’s documents such as payment instructions, term sheets, credit documents
Perform document check on security transfer, Standby L/C & Bank Guarantee, subscription form / order form for various fund orders
Prepare Audit confirmation
Review and approve the Professional Investor & Private Banking Customer qualification request in accordance with Bank’s policy
Check the contents of reference letter prepared by RC/Front Office to ensure accuracy before co-signed by the team
Support supervisor in attending meeting/conference call with different stakeholders and try to resolve issues or provide expertise whenever necessary
Work independently in solving issues which may arise from time to time and promptly escalate to supervisor as necessary
Proactively communicating with different departments to discuss issues when necessary
Actively engage in new project / UAT testing to enhance our process and objective of optimizing automation
Your skills and experience:
University graduate or candidate with 3 years working experience within middle office / operations experience in Bank/Financial Institution.
Good with numbers and a good team player
Ability to handle transactions accurately and timely.
Self-initiative and to be work under pressure/overtime
Willing to learn and take on additional challenges
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Good communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
Technology Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel (V-Look Up, Pivot Tables, Macro), PowerPoint and Word.
