Ferring+You

You will be a member of our Global Privacy Office. The team is responsible for managing the company privacy program within the global Ferring organization, including documenting and risk assessing potential AI solutions. As the Local Privacy Manager for Argentina, you will ensure the implementation of Ferring’s global privacy framework at our production site primarily as well as relevant sites in the region. This role will play a key part in strengthening consent management processes, ensuring secure handling of personal data, and embedding privacy controls into processes and IT systems.

This role is based in Argentina and requires on-site presence at our production facility.

Your day at Ferring

  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation (e.g., RoPAs, DPIAs, SOPs) to ensure readiness for inspections at any time.

  • Partner with site leadership, HR, QA, Engineering, and IT to ensure privacy expectations are understood and operationally feasible.

  • Validate that local systems involving personal data meet Ferring’s privacy requirements.

  • Oversee vendor‑management processes, focusing on local suppliers and cross-border transfers.

  • Oversee and continuously improve the donor consent collection process, ensuring local legal compliance and consistent application of Ferring’s global standards.

  • Support business units with the review of privacy-related legal agreements such as data protection agreements, data transfer agreements, and standard contractual clauses. Liaise with external legal counsel as necessary.

  • Help manage, investigate, and respond to privacy incidents, data subject access requests, and complaints, ensuring timely responses and compliance documentation.

  • Serve as a local privacy focal point during inspections from foreign national authorities (e.g. FDA) when inquiries relate to personal data, donor data, or privacy processes.

  • Monitor developments in Argentina’s and the region’s data protection legislation and ensure operational readiness for potential new legal requirements.

Behind our innovation…There’s you

  • University degree (e.g., Business, Law, Computer Science).

  • Past professional experience in the privacy space.

  • Knowledge of privacy considerations related to donor‑related data or health‑related information.

  • Experience with OneTrust, or willingness to learn, to support global documentation and governance.

  • Preferably, one or more privacy certifications (e.g., IAPP CIPM, CIPT, or CIPP/US).

  • Experience applying privacy frameworks in manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceutical, or other regulated operational environments.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish are a must.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak to different groups and connect them from the leadership team to the shop floor.

  • Flexibility to reach out to different stakeholders, and proactiveness to support audits.

  • Practical mindset: ability to design privacy controls that work in a production environment.
