About the Role

As our Print Designer for Collaborations & Partnerships, you’ll bring fresh energy and fearless ideas to the table—creating original, sustainable prints that celebrate color, pattern, and personality.
In this role, you will work in an energizing, inclusive, and creative environment owning the print design process from start to finish researching trends, concepting innovative patterns, and delivering artwork that pops on product. You’ll partner closely with our design, merchandising, and production teams to make sure every print feels distinctly Old Navy—fun, inclusive, and made to wow our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for managing the creative design process from concept to completion while partnering with the Design Manager to ensure alignment on priorities and artwork direction.

  • Research global markets & identify seasonal print trends, color, fabric and how they appropriately relate to the brand and consumer.

  • Create & develop world-class on-trend Print & Pattern designs that support Old Navy design concepts. Actively engages in the development of the print story and seasonal direction and presents trends to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Collaborates with Concept and Apparel Design teams for colorways of prints. Communicates and recommends revisions when needed.

  • Influence strategy for product area, providing recommendations regarding seasonal themes and edits to line, ensuring product meets business and customer needs.

  • Encourages a culture of creativity, productive thinking, and collaboration within the wider design team and builds cross functional partnerships and consensus.

  • Maintains plotter printers; works closely with outside vendors/engineers to address technical issues as they arise; performs departmental maintenance (e.g., daily upkeep of prints, ordering supplies (as needed).

  • Seasonal travel for research and/or product development is required.

  • Possess an elevated sense of style, aesthetic, and color and understand how to translate trends through the lens of the customer and brand filter.

  • College degree in Textile/Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field. 5-7 years design experience, preferably in print design.

  • Strong computer skills: NED Graphics Programs - Easy Knit, Easy Weave, Color reduction PRO & Cleaning PRO, Design & repeat PRO, Easy coloring pro.

  • Strong computer skills: Adobe photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Miro

  • Strong knowledge of CAD systems/software/printers & spectra flow plotters.

  • Strong hand skills: Illustration, painting, drawing and digital art skills to be applied to fabric, knowledge of crafting repeats.

  • Strong time management, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent design and color sense, color matching and creation of colorways and Solid understanding of design process.

  • Trend Forecasting- researching markets to identify new print trends, color, fabric and how they appropriately relate to the brand/consumer through creation of conceptual mood boards to present print direction to merchant and design leadership to gain commercial alignment.
