We are seeking a seasoned Principle Software Project Manager to lead a team of systems and software engineers. The purpose of this role is to manage the development and configuration of the software projects and embed targets both on Aircraft computers and stand-alone distributed PCBs. This position is located on-site in Lubeck, Germany initially but may transition to a Hybrid role once established.

What you will do
Manage the day-to-day activities of the development team and lead the team through the Software Development Life Cycle
Ensuring adherence and compliance with DO178 / ARP4754 standards
Frequently interact with program management and different levels within the organization on various topics focused around project status and commercial agreements.
Provide a clear path and structure of project roadmaps whilst ensuring accountability and transparency throughout.
Collate data on project development for reporting, improvement and presentation purposes

Expert level communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization (design team, customer, executive, etc) and tailor communication for intended audience
Expert domain knowledge of DO178B/C and ARP4754
Proven experience developing with the “V” model
Earned Value (EVMS) for software projects and managing software schedules within Microsoft project for both Waterfall and Agile methodologies •
Demonstrated experience working with customers, being the face of the company and negotiating timelines and deliverables on its behalf
Experience managing globally distributed development teams, highly organized and ability to categorize and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, and often ambiguous environment
Fluency in German and English
EU Citizenship for military project/product support
Certifications
Experience with DO254 Experience with the following tools / coding standards
Experience with static code analysis tools (such as Coverity) Experience with Hardware-in-Loop and Software-in-the-loop (HIL/SIL) test setups
Windriver DIAB compiler tool chain (similar to GNu, but not that powerful)
Thales THEMIS IMA framework and tool chain and processes
Experience with Airbus’ ABD0100 Design Assurance Process
Experience with STmicro family of microcontrollers
ANSI C / C++ / Python / UML / XML
