NSX BU (Network Switching Business Unit) is part of Marvell's Cloud Platform Business Unit, which focuses on delivering vertically integrated, system-level solutions for hyperscale and cloud data center markets.What You Can Expect
• Provide in-depth knowledge of the product to support and aid customers in the selection, evaluation and integration of switch solutions.
• Work with Marketing, Sales, Design, validation and operations teams to define and communicate requirements for new products.
• Define demo system and reference design requirements, and develop settings, documentation, training and other collateral to complement storage sub-system solutions.
• Will be responsible for the reference design material, application notes, and HW/SW errata releases to the customers.
• Must be a self-starter, team player, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Prior is a definite plus.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
• BSEE / BSCS degree with at least 10 years of experience OR MSEE / MSCS degree with at least 5 years of experience in Switch system design and technical support.
• Knowledge of switch and networking technologies in Datacenter.
• Knowledge of SAI/SONiC and SDKs of mainstream switch chip manufacturers.
• Knowledge of management and set up ethernet networks and test tools.
• Understanding of interface standards and compliance testing for each.
• Understanding of standard protocol tests and automation methods/strategies.
• Understanding of virtualization and virtualization offload mechanisms.
• At least 2 years of experience managing and configuring these operating systems including Windows, Linux, VMware, and MAC and OS inbox drivers.
• At least 5 years of experience in design or technical support for switch products.
• At least 5 years of experience with software programming language development: C/C++ and Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with switch firmware/SDK/SAI/SONiC development, Confluence and JIRA.
• Understanding of performance measuring methodology and analysis of results.
• Familiar with use and set up of common electronic test equipment like Traffic Generator, Scope, logic analyzer, PCIe protocol analyzer etc.
• Experience working with emulation tools for software debugging of issues at system and device levels and with debugging X86 or ARM platform.
