Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking to add a Principal Electrical Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE)/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer - Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our team. This position will be located in Hawaii with possible training in Aurora to start.
As an FSR, this position will be responsible for supporting the program. The ideal candidate would have the training, skills, knowledge, and capabilities of an Army 35T30 (Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator), or a 353T (Intelligence Systems Maintenance & Integration Technician).
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all the following:
Hardware: Antennas; rack-mount servers; client workstations; routers and switches; associated power and communications cables
Software & Operating Systems: VMware (including ESXi, vSAN); Windows Server 2019; Red Hat Enterprise Linux; Windows 11; Cisco IOS; Active Directory and DNS; Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure
Familiarity with configuration of encryption devices
Ability to coordinate for and support external interface integration, connection to network points of presence, and checkout/confirmation testing efforts
Experience with installation of containerized software systems using Docker and Kubernetes
Able to apply operating system and software patches and updates on all prototype software and operating systems either independently or with reach-back support
Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays when required to meet Unit Operations and Training Requirements; This is a travel-based position, focused on pre-planned and emergent travel in support of mission requirements both CONUS and OCONUS. Travel is expected to range between 50 and 75% but requirements may evolve as the program matures in it's lifecycle.
Create discrepancy reports (DR’s) and provide weekly status reports to factory in Aurora, CO.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal/Level 3: 5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; 1 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM
Principal/Level 4: 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; 4 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM
Must have an Active/Final TS/SCI DoD security clearance, with eligibility/willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph if/when needed
Meet the requirements of DoD 8570.1-M at the IAT II or IAT III Level
Must have Security+ and be current with Continuing Education (CE) requirements: CCNA Security, GSEC, and SSCP or must able to obtain Security+ within 3 months of hire date
Must have at least 40 hours of documented training in two or more of the following computing environments:
VMware version 8, Data Center Virtualization (ESXi, etc.)
Microsoft Windows Server
Linux Servers
Cisco Networks
Preferred Qualifications
5 or more years of operational experience supporting and maintaining RF antennas in a multi-INT environment, including imagery/GEOINT
Hold VMware VCP-DCV, version 6 or newer Certification and at least 1 other of the following:
Microsoft: MCSA Windows Server 2012 or MCSA Windows Server 2016
Linux: Linux+, LPIC-1, or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
