Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal OR Sr. Principal Computer Systems Hardware Engineer to join the Compute Integrated Product Team (IPT) of the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Site 2 program (DS2).
As a Computer Systems Hardware Engineer you will be a key member of the team responsible for designing and standing up of several high-performance computer environments required for DS2. This role will be reporting to the DS2 Compute IPT lead and work collaboratively with other functional disciplines to design, document and implement a computer system architecture baseline that will meet operational requirements for the system. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational knowledge in the integration of computer system hardware components and infrastructure design (i.e., Rack Elevations, Engineering Drawings, Electrical Power, Heating & Cooling). Collaboration across a multi disciplined IPT to design, document, procure, integrate and test several high-performance computer environments is paramount.
Job Duties Include:
Collaboratively define and document the computer system and support infrastructure design.
Develop engineering drawings and associated bill of materials.
Manage and control the HW engineering baseline (Change requests, redlines, document as built).
Determine HW component system specifications.
Determine Infrastructure requirements (Power, Heating and Cooling).
Develop integration plans and schedules.
Support procurement activities and collaborate with global supply chain.
Integrate and check out HW components.
Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
