The Global Partner Marketing organization drives growth through Workday’s partner ecosystem. We build programs that support pipeline growth, and expand the value customers get from Workday.About the Role
As the Workday Marketplace Marketing Lead, you will own the marketing strategy that drives growth, adoption, and impact from the Workday Marketplace.
This role blends partner marketing, product marketing, and performance marketing. You will develop programs that increase customer and prospect awareness of Marketplace, customer discovery of Marketplace solutions, generate qualified leads, improve conversion into opportunities, and influence ACV in deals involving partner applications.
You will also play a key role in positioning Marketplace within Workday’s broader product narrative, supporting launches of new Marketplace capabilities and ensuring partner solutions are embedded in go-to-market motions.
Why This Role Matters: Workday Marketplace is a key driver of platform growth and partner innovation. This role will help scale how customers discover and adopt partner-built solutions, strengthening the Workday ecosystem and increasing the value customers realize from the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Growth Strategy
Build overall awareness of Marketplace as a destination for discovery for Workday customers and prospects.
Define and lead the marketing strategy to drive Marketplace traffic, lead generation, and pipeline impact.Identify high-value Marketplace solutions and partner categories to prioritize based on customer demand and revenue potential.
Develop scalable marketing programs that increase discovery and adoption of partner solutions.
Partner Marketing & Co-Marketing
Design and execute co-marketing programs with priority partners, including campaigns, events, solution spotlights, and industry plays.
Help partners effectively market their Marketplace solutions to Workday customers and prospects.
Funnel Performance & Optimization
Own the Marketplace marketing funnel from traffic through lead creation, qualification, and conversion into opportunities.
Work closely with Digital, Sales, SDRs, and Revenue Operations to optimize lead routing, qualification, and handoffs.
Establish and monitor KPIs including traffic, engagement, leads, conversion rates, pipeline, and influenced ACV.
Product & Marketplace GTM
Partner with Product Marketing and P&T teams to position Marketplace as a core extension of the Workday platform.
Support launches of new Marketplace features and experiences with messaging, enablement, and marketing plans.
Ensure Marketplace solutions are embedded into product narratives, campaigns, and sales plays.
Experimentation & Optimization
Build a roadmap of experiments to improve Marketplace performance.
Use testing and analytics to improve conversion across the funnel.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate across Partner Marketing, Partner Alliances, Product Marketing, Digital, Sales, and Operations teams to align priorities and execution.
Translate data and performance insights into clear recommendations for future investment and strategy
Flagship Events & Ecosystem Visibility
Own the Marketplace marketing presence at major Workday events such as Rising, DevCon, SKO, and Partner Summit.
Develop Marketplace-focused content, showcases, and partner storytelling that highlight the value of the ecosystem to customers and prospects.
Partner with Events, Product, and Partner teams to ensure Marketplace solutions are represented in demos, sessions, and on-site experiences.
About You
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally across partner marketing, demand generation, or product marketing.
Proven experience delivering measurable pipeline or revenue impact through marketing programs.
Experience working with or marketing within partner ecosystems or technology marketplaces.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with marketing and sales performance data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing co-marketing programs with cloud or SaaS ecosystems (e.g. AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft, ServiceNow, etc.).
Strong understanding of how marketplaces drive product discovery, partner growth, and co-sell opportunities.
Experience running integrated campaigns across digital, content, events, and partner channels.
Hands-on experience with experimentation and conversion optimization.
Ability to translate technical partner solutions into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
Strong storytelling, writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
