The Principal Systems Engineer will lead cross-functional efforts with the dishwasher systems team, embedded software team, manufacturing, and service organizations to develop a roadmap and champion implementation of diagnostic features in support of the dishwasher product line. The resultant diagnostics data pipeline will be leveraged to enhance the consumer ownership experience, improve service efficiency, improve manufacturability, provide insights for cost of quality, and support future product design.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Own SmartHQ Service Application specifications for dishwasher products.
  • Develop vision and strategy for dishwasher platform diagnostics.
  • Lead cross-functional effort to define data requirements including F-Codes, Fault Snapshots, Cycle History, Telemetry, and Usage Profile data.
  • Point of contact for creation, validation, and management of diagnostic data pipelines originating from SmartHQ Service App and Connected Data streams.
  • Define and drive analytics projects to benefit service stakeholders including dashboards for democratization of collected data.
  • Collaborate with broader technology team as the dishwasher domain expert to facilitate execution of machine-learning based diagnostic projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement diagnostic algorithms for the dishwasher platform.
  • Support COQ teams in analytics activities to root cause field failures.
  • Research and develop algorithms to predict and/or detect top SCR drivers as defined by the service/COQ organizations.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years’ design or systems experience in an appliance product line (dishwashers preferred).
  • Strong project planning and project leadership skills and experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SAS, GCP, and/or previous coding experience.
  • Working knowledge of the service process and serviceability of appliances.
  • Previous experience working with software teams in an agile team environment.
  • Strong desire to learn new skills in data analytics domain.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
