Summary of Role

Join GlobalFoundries at the forefront of innovation in Silicon Photonics! In this role, you will lead and manage cutting-edge technical programs from concept to completion, driving technology development and integration within our advanced fabs. You’ll collaborate with product lines to accelerate technology bring-up and deliver solutions that shape the future of high-speed optical communication.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead Innovation: Drive cross-functional teams from initial design through full product delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Optimize Performance: Monitor program milestones, proactively recommend schedule adjustments, cost optimizations, and resource allocations.
  • Problem-Solve Creatively: Investigate challenges during design and planning phases, developing practical and innovative solutions.
  • Communicate Impact: Provide timely, clear updates to stakeholders and functional leaders, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Shape the Future: Conduct feasibility studies, manage field trials, identify technology gaps, and define product requirements to meet evolving market needs.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to understand trends and translate insights into next-generation photonic solutions.
  • Safety First: Champion Environmental, Health, Safety & Security standards in all activities.
  • Collaborate Broadly: Support other projects and assignments as needed, contributing to a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 11 years of semiconductor manufacturing, preferably with exposure to photonics or advanced packaging.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Proven project management skills with the ability to innovate and execute solutions in ambiguous environments.
    • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Travel: Up to 10%.

Expected Salary Range

$143,000.00 - $247,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
