What You’ll Do

• Develop and articulate a compelling technical product vision and strategy based on customer needs, market insights, and emerging trends.

• Define, prioritize, and manage the technical product roadmap in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architecture, UX, engineering, and other product managers.

• Translate business objectives into detailed software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; champion product quality and user experience throughout the lifecycle.

• Partner with Architecture and Engineering to drive robust technical designs, identify critical dependencies, and ensure end-to-end solution viability.

• Lead feature prioritization and trade-off discussions, aligning technical solutions and timelines with business goals and stakeholder expectations.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and authority for complex products or product lines, providing mentorship to less experienced product managers.

• Guide multiple Agile teams by writing features, setting direction, and supporting sprint planning and feature refinement.

• Monitor product performance, analyze results, and adjust strategies to deliver consistent, high-impact outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Advanced technical expertise, with deep knowledge of software development methodologies, service-oriented architecture, and product analytics.

• 8–10 years of experience in technical product management, ideally within large-scale or complex software environments.

• Demonstrated ability to define and execute a technical product vision that aligns with business objectives.

• Proven experience collaborating across architecture, engineering, UX, and business teams to deliver successful products.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for a variety of stakeholders and drive consensus.

• Recognized subject matter expert, with a track record of guiding multiple teams and mentoring peers.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; deep familiarity with AT&T technologies is a strong plus.

Our Principal Tech Product Mgr, earns between $158,200-$237,400 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
