You will join our Global Embedded Audio department for the EMEA region in the position of: 

Principal Systems Engineer - Embedded Audio

About the Role:

We are seeking a full-time Systems Engineer to support our growing customer base across the EMEA region. In this role, you will serve as a critical interface between our customers and global engineering teams. Primarily capturing product requirements, estimating early-stage costs, and ensuring alignment with internal processes. This position is ideal for an experienced systems thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for turning complex needs into product requirement definitions and acceptance criteria.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with the EMEA HEA Sales team to serve as technical point of contact preparing and delivering technical presentations and demos to potential customers.
  • Translate customer needs into structured technical documentation.
  • Provide budgetary product and NRE cost estimates during early feasibility stages.
  • Learn and apply global systems engineering and development processes.
  • Identify EMEA specific process deviations and align with global teams.
  • Support technical triage and feasibility review for new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with program and project engineering teams to ensure project alignment.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, acoustic engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development or systems engineering.
  • Proven ability to gather customer requirements and perform early technical scoping.
  • Experience with cost estimation for BOM and NRE efforts.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple time zones.
  • Fluent in English.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Master’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, acoustic engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with 5+ years of technical management.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques applied to audio.
  • Previous experience supporting large corporations with technical expertise is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to engage with partners, whether customers or vendors at a strategic level.
  • Fluent in European languages or Mandarin.

What Makes You Eligible:

  • Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international travel.
  • This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with trips to customer office locations in the EMEA region.
