Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to provide support to our team in our Edwards AFB, CA location

Defines and develops material strategy. Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products. Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management. Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements. Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements. Assesses rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements. Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments. Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed. Creates/releases requisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.

This position will be located at Edwards AFB supporting 1st shift operations on a 4/10A schedule from 5:00am- 3:30pm (Monday-Thursday). This position will require to be physically on site. Minimal opportunity for telecommute

Roles & Responsibilities specific to role:

Leads all support aspects as a parts integration liaison to engineering supporting B2 flight test programs at Edwards AFB

Support includes material sourcing with suppliers based off engineering requirements, obtaining quotes, procurement through consumption and disposition IAW FAR 52.245-1

  • Briefs program leadership on a weekly basis on critical path milestones as it relates to test events and program schedule specific to status of parts, materials and service requirements

  • Advises test team leadership on potential cost savings on product availability across multiple procurement systems – identifies least costly route for buy and execution

  • Executes material demand in multiple systems, NGSAMS, MAXIMO, and EPS

  • Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration coordinator – ensures all M&TE across program areas are calibrated on time and within specification to mitigate risk to program events

  • Audit SME – FIAR, GFR, DCMA, DCAA, CSA, ISO

  • Executes and coordinates contract closeouts IAW contracts and property management disposition instructions via contract closeout initiator (CCI)

  • Manages annual inventory compliance in support of sector and FAR guidelines

  • Coordinates daily between multiple disciplines/organizations to include: program office, transportation, security, PHS&T, GSE, engineering, and maintenance teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, property management, or inventory management or Masters Degree with 3 years relevant experience in supply chain, property management, or inventory management or High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience in supply chain, property management, or inventory management may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Must have an active in scope DoD Secret Clearance at minimum to start position, and ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance plus program PAR

  • Must have supply chain, inventory management, property management experience supporting a large scale aerospace program

  • Must be proficient within all Microsoft Office Suite/Applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active B2 Program Access (PAR)

  • Experience with material management systems such as EPS, SAP, Maximo or NGSAMS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Product life cycle logistics, cradle to grave accountability

  • Ability to successfully perform and pivot tasks dependent on program requirements supporting a robust engineering test environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
