Base salary will be in the range $102,565 - $111,686 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7)
Based at our St Lucia location
This is an exciting, brand-new opportunity to join UQ in advancing our global engagement by supporting initiatives with priority countries and partners. You will contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of international stakeholder engagement, partnership development, strategic visits and institutional events that enhance UQ’s global reputation and drive collaboration outcomes.
You will bring your high-level project coordination, administrative expertise, outstanding communication skills and both independent and collaborative mindset into a fast-paced, internationally focused environment where you can contribute to initiatives that strengthen collaboration across academic and professional units.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support the delivery of partnership strategies and engagement initiatives across the Greater China region.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to advance global collaboration.
Coordinate international visits, meetings and events, including planning, briefing, logistics and follow-up.
Assist with joint workshops, presentations and communications that showcase key partnership activities.
Provide high-level project, administrative and briefing support to senior leaders.
Manage enquiries, articulation arrangements and partner communications to ensure smooth, consistent engagement.
Prepare reports, documentation and market insights to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
Some out of hours work will be required due to international time zone differences.

You may have experience working in a university or research-intensive environment. Although it isn’t necessary, any understanding of international higher education or global engagement strategies will be valued in this role.
Native Chinese language skills with strong English proficiency.
Relevant degree and/or experience in international engagement or partnership support.
Strong coordination skills to coordinate complex visits, events and stakeholder activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including polished business writing and presentations.
Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities.
Collaborative, culturally aware and confident working with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and research skills to inform planning and reporting.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia.
