Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Logistics Management Analyst to join our Linthicum, MD based Logistics and Product Support organization. 

What You’ll Get to Do:

This position seeks a Logistics Management Analyst to perform logistics tasks such as managing customer repairs, product support analysis, logistics product data generation, sustainment planning and execution, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) management.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence design and sustainment strategies for a variety of products supporting US Air Force and other customers. Analysis are performed during all phases of a product’s life cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, sustainment and disposal.  

The successful candidate will apply both technical knowledge and organizational skills to solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints to perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation to translate customer requirements into hardware and specifications. Typical work products will include analysis to support and develop a product’s Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis, Support Equipment requirements, Spares Modelling, Trend analysis of maintenance and repair histories, and the identification and mitigation of DMSMS risks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support sustainment operations for mission-critical systems by ensuring continuous availability of repair parts and material.

  • Interacting with team members to interpret customer needs and requirements.

  • Participating in and presenting technical information in team and customer meetings.

  • Coordinate with Program Office, Engineers, OPMs, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and materials groups to collect and exchange data.

  • Collect, track and analyze data such as usage rates, operation and maintenance trends, inventory level and other relevant information needed to ensure the sustainability of systems.

  • Works with the team to identify maintenance issues and improve maintenance processes.

  • Managing and reporting customer repairs and communicating with suppliers to obtain the best outcomes for repairs.

  • Contribute to proposal efforts.

This position may be filled as a Principal Logistics Management Analyst or Sr Principal Logistics Management Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Logistics Management Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, with 5 years of experience; An additional 4 years of experience from the preferred qualifications may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience coordinating repair, return, and replacements process, reducing turnaround time and minimizing operational downtime.

  • Experience identifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements for systems; and determine associated spares, tools, calibration, and manpower requirements.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word.

  • US Citizenship and a current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance are required.

Basic Qualifications for a Sr Principal Logistics Management Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, with 8 years of experience; An additional 4 years of experience from the preferred qualifications may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience coordinating repair, return, and replacements process, reducing turnaround time and minimizing operational downtime.

  • Experience identifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements for systems; and determine associated spares, tools, calibration, and manpower requirements.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word.

  • US Citizenship and a current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Generate and manage work orders using (ERP) SAP and GOLD system.

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product data sheets for electrical components.

  • Knowledge of reading drawings and RNs in CADSTAR.

  • Basic working knowledge of military operational and logistics organizations and operations.

  • Familiarity of Mil-HBK-502A type work products

  • Experience in a manufacturing discipline implementing repair strategies and processes, especially related to electronic equipment.

  • Track and prioritize work in progress (WIP) for sustainment activities, ensuring alignment with mission deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

  • Able to take direction and quickly achieve the ability to work independently after receiving instruction/training.

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment that requires continuous learning in technical skills.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $122,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $102,000.00 - $153,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
