Principal Specialist, RTX PAC

This position reports to the Manager of RTX’s Political Action Committee (PAC), and is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the PAC within RTX Global Government Relations team in Arlington, VA.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the day-to-day administration of RTXPAC, including:
  • Administration of the PAC to ensure sound financial management and compliance with federal, state and local election laws
  • Management and oversight of all financial transactions, including recording and verifying contributions and disbursement of all federal and state PAC contributions in conjunction with the PAC Manager
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the PAC, including:
  • Maintenance of the PAC database and administration of member enrollment, communication and benefit programs
  • Updating of the PAC website as needed
  • Drafting of regular communications to include newsletters and the RTXPAC annual report
  • Production of internal PAC reports and analyses
  • Planning and execution of internal and external meetings and events for the PAC
  • Assistance with development, design, and implementation of the PAC campaign
  • Representing the PAC before internal customers as requested
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Screen and evaluate candidates for PAC support in services of the Government Relations teams.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on the Hill and/ or experience with political campaigns, fundraising, and government relations.

  • Experience managing multiple demands and constituent and staying organized in a complex environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (outlook, word, excel) and in database management.
  • Understanding of and ability to apply local, state and federal requirements for political activity disclosure and reporting.
  • Desktop design and layout publications skills for PAC communications.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
