B/E Aerospace, Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Principal Specialist, Product and Technical Service in Lenexa, KS. National and/or international travel 3-5 times per year to meet with customers and support OEM’s, as well as to attend team summit meetings.

What YOU will do

  • Responsible for the support of a product or line of products.
  • Responsible for product after transition from design to production and interface with other departments such as design, test and reliability engineering to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with Technical Publications for final CMM approval; collaborate with Internal Engineering for qualifications of revised designs; and collaborate on problems and solutions with internal and external engineers to resolve problems in an effective and timely manner.
  • Research and collaborate in resolution of complex customer issues in a timely manner and follow-up directly with the customer to ensure customer satisfaction; and direct preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineers and technical support.
  • Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment.
  • Assist Product Support Specialist when required for receiving incoming field questions and help respond by providing detailed technical research, answers and documents; and assist customers with installation, maintenance and training support when required.
  • Report design, reliability and maintenance problems to appropriate departments and follow through until resolved.
  • Maintain performance matrices as required and analyze field-related data to identify performance trends.  

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience as a Design Engineer or Product Support Engineer or related role. Alternatively, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Design Engineer or Product Support Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment related to gaseous or fluid controls.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience providing technical support to Businesses from Middle East and India regions.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience developing and tracking customer data using ODM, JDE, SAP or other database system tools to analyze product trends.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work onsite. This

The salary range is $118,269.00 to $164,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
