What You Will Do 

This procurement position plays a critical role within Pratt & Whitney’s Supply Chain organization, supporting procurement activities that enable uninterrupted manufacturing and site operations. This position is responsible for the execution of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and purchase order management for indirect goods and outside services.

This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement of materials and services that support operational performance.

  • Procurement Execution & Sourcing Support
  • Execute sourcing and procurement activities for indirect materials and services (MRO, consumables, services, capital support, etc.)
  • Support RFQs, bid evaluations, and supplier selection in alignment with site-level strategies
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, and terms & conditions
  • Assist in contract execution and supplier onboarding processes
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy to manage indirect and outside services categories, making sound and compliant procurement decisions to support business objectives
  • Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
  • Monitor supplier performance including on-time delivery (OTD), responsiveness, and quality
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, shortages, and invoice discrepancies
  • Support supplier communications and maintain strong working relationships
  • Operational Support & Materials Flow
  • Ensure timely placement and follow-up of purchase orders to support site operations
  • Partner with Materials Planning and internal stakeholders to align supply with demand
  • Proactively identify and escalate supply risks or constraints impacting operations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams to support procurement needs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, AS9100 requirements, and procurement procedures
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), site projects, and operational initiatives as needed
  • Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain accurate procurement data within SAP and/or Ariba systems
  • Analyze purchasing data to support decision-making and performance improvement
  • Support audit readiness and documentation compliance

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field and 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or operational environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with SAP and/or Ariba procurement systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting indirect procurement categories
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry and AS9100 quality standards

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
