We are seeking a Principal Specialist, Procurement to join the Product Support (PS) group within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) business organization. This role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll contribute to strategic initiatives while ensuring procurement effectiveness and compliance. This role will be well-suited for someone with a team‑oriented mindset, strong work ethic who can thrive in fast paced a high‑volume environment.

What You Will Do

  • Issue and manage medium to high complexity Purchase Orders from supplier selection to RFP/RFQ submission, quote receipt, analyzing and negotiating quote for pricing and Terms and Conditions, documenting PO in compliance with FAR, DFAR and ITAR requirements, and monitoring supplier issues and delivery.
  • Actively monitor open orders, update status, and ensure that Operations and Program personnel are notified of any delivery date changes; escalate to expedite when necessary.
  • Seek new sources of supply when necessary, which involves working closely with Supplier Quality and Engineering to complete necessary processes for adding a new, qualified supplier.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Assist and train team members with procurement activities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Use advanced Excel skills to efficiently manage large data sets and requisition lines.
  • Use strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills to handle parallel program activities.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required to other Raytheon site locations
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience in the procurement lifecycle, such as supplier selection, RFP/RFQ issuance, quote analysis, negotiations, PO placement, and supplier support
  • Experience with government procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS and / or ITAR)
  • Experience supporting supplier performance metrics such as OTD, cost savings, and continuous and / or improvement initiatives

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proficiency with SAP/PRISM, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including advanced Excel skills for managing large data sets
  • Negotiations experience and ability to develop risk‑mitigation plans
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multi‑task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and strategic decision‑making skills
  • Ability to perform and understand price analysis and source selection/justification with guidance as needed
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes, tools, and technical information Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively partner with cross‑functional partners and customers, i.e. Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Operations

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This role is not relocation eligible.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
