Raytheon’s Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) department is seeking a Systems Engineer to create work instructions using Augmented Reality (AR) software. You will utilize various tools ranging from industry‑standard software to emerging technologies and will be expected to adapt to new software quickly. Projects are commonly multidisciplined, so you will typically interact and collaborate with SMEs and engineers from other disciplines to complete work instructions. As such, a technical individual who excels in communication, problem solving, and teamwork is highly valued. What You Will Do

  • Create work instructions using Augmented Reality software

  • Validate 3D models in model viewers

  • Edit instructional videos, if needed

  • Research next generation solutions and generate reports

  • Communicate and collaborate with your team members to produce well understood and repeatable results

  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with your program

  • Contribute to continuous improvement within your team

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other engineers on external teams

  • Travel requirement: 10% or less, including both domestic and international travel.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Experience with Augmented Reality (AR) training development, immersive simulation environments, or interactive learning technologies.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with strong follow‑through. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles, and/or LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma training

  • Knowledge of encrypted network requirements and interest in server management (Docker, cyber compliance, etc.)

  • Experience working with/manipulating 3D models and 3D environments

  • Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
