Brief Description of Department

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual within the RTX Enterprise Services – Controllership and Compliance team. This organization offers opportunity for this individual to be part of a growing accounting department and develop processes to sustain flexibility as business needs change. Job responsibilities are subject to change based upon alignment of processes within this developing organization.


What You Will do:

  • Assist leadership with initiatives to provide feedback on how to improve fixed asset processes along with the implementation of changes.
  • Represent the fixed asset organization working with individuals at all levels across the organization.
  • Perform fixed asset tasks (reconciliations, monthly closing/ journal entries, depreciation analysis, disposals, transfers, & capitalization requests) along with analysis of balance sheet accounts.
  • Application of fixed asset policy in daily tasks and provide policy guidance to internal customers.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests including SAP/Tool Go lives, tax reporting and audit requests.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to fixed asset team members related to system, policy, and procedure related questions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field and at least 5 years relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years’ experience gained in corporate accounting setting.
  • At least 3 years knowledge of or experience with current enterprise finance and accounting systems such as: HFM, Onestream, SAP, JDE and month end close procedures.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with and knowledge of US GAAP Accounting.
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience performing fixed asset accounting activities such as reconciliations, depreciation, capitalization, transfers, and disposals in a corporate accounting environment?

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • CPA/MBA
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief all levels of management.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills.
  • Analytical, planning, and organizational skills to solve problems and recommend comprehensive solutions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment as well as the ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations.
  • Experience in SAP and Onestream

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
