Marsh is seeking a highly skilled Principal to join our respected Risk Management Practice based in Perth. Working within the Mining team, this key role will drive growth, profitability, and client satisfaction across a portfolio of complex priority accounts. If you are passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing tailored risk management and insurance programs that meet client needs.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with key client decision-makers through regular engagement.
  • Growing and retaining a high-value portfolio while mentoring junior broking professionals to support team success.
  • Managing risk and insurance program renewals with deep knowledge of major insurance classes and regulatory requirements.
  • Representing Marsh at industry events and client functions to expand your professional network and enhance our brand.

What you bring to the role:

  • Proven excellence in client service, delivering technical, strategic, and consultative support.
  • Strong adaptability to change, with a solid understanding of environmental, financial, and regulatory factors impacting clients.
  • Sound business acumen and planning skills to develop and execute effective action plans.
  • Initiative and self-motivation to work independently while contributing to team goals.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

What sets you apart:

  • Over 5 years’ experience in insurance broking with a strong grasp of business and organizational risk management.
  • A successful track record managing complex accounts and strategic client relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
  • Essential Tier 1 FSRA Compliance; tertiary qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
