Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Principal Requirements Systems Engineer
What you will get to do:
Plan and execute requirements management for a major Segment of an extremely complex System across the program lifecycle, including major program milestones / reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.)
This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area.
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Requirements Systems Engineer:
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 years of experience with PhD
• Demonstrated experience or managing requirements of large-scale systems
• Requirements development from decomposition and allocation to verification
• Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR
• Experience in systems development, integration, and/or test
• Experience managing requirements within an iterative and agile environment
• Current Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start
Preferred Qualifications for Principal Requirements Systems Engineer
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience
• Experience developing engineering content for major systems engineering reviews (e.g. SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR)
• Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements
• Ability to manage a large database of requirements across systems, subsystems, and lower-level components
• Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
