Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Project Manager located in Linthicum, MD near the Baltimore area.

 

The selected training and skills project management professional is responsible for planning, executing and scaling training and capability development initiatives. This role ensures the workforce has the skills, knowledge and competencies required to meet business, operational and quality objectives. This position plays a key role in enabling the organizations quality operating system by translating business needs into structured training programs, competency models and measurable skill development outcomes.  

 

What You'll Get To Do:  

  • Lead training and delivery of key capability initiatives 

  • Manage cross functional project teams and stakeholders 

  • Supports deployment of technical skills training, quality systems training and awareness and quality leadership programs 

  • Aligns training programs to organizational priorities 

  • Develops and maintains skill matrices, competency frameworks, role based training pathways and identifies skill gaps and prioritizes development actions 

  • Partners with SMEs to develop training content, standard work and job aides 

  • Support deployment of training through learning management system (LX) or other learning platforms  

  • Monitors and tracks training KPIs, to include training completion rates, competency rates, training and effectiveness, knowledge retention and performance improvement. 

  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition on early career demand planning and candidate alignment 

  

  Basic Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with Training and learning development (in operations or quality environments)

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • PMP or Equivalent Project Management Certification 

  • Experience in regulated industries (Aerospace or Manufacturing) 

  • Familiar with industry standards (i.e. AS9100, AS9145) 

  • Experience with curriculum development 

  • Experience with learning management systems 

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
