Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Principal Project Management (Level 3) to join our team! This position will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida.
Description:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages escorting based on schedules and prepares status reports using program tools such as confluence. Assesses project issues and recommends resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- This position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities for the Program and serves as liaison between program and other team members in the Facilities organization.
- Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and coordinates shipping of hardware as necessary
- Utilizing program gathered requirements, verify that the design for buildings, structures, and other facilities meet the capabilities required within the estimated cost
- Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
- Prepare documentation for leadership review
- Track and review costs, including design, construction, and other related costs for each project
- Manage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule
- Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required
- Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and facilities
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 8 years of combined project management, project management, or management experience OR a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in project management, project management, or management experience OR Master’s Degree and 4 year of experience in project management, project management, or management experience
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findings
- Experience working with subject matter experts, engineers, and program leads to ensure collection of data is accurate and timely
- Understanding of the change management process
- Proficient in MS project, Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of construction for classified areas
- PMP Certification
- Demonstrated capability to perform assignments on time and within budget
- Professional writing skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of leadership to include presentation skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
