Role

We are looking for a Principal Product Specialist for Business Continuity Cloud and Cloud Reliability to join our Product Management team. This role offers flexible location options including onsite or hybrid at our San Jose office, or remote within the USA, reporting to the Director, Product Management. You will provide technical leadership for Business Continuity Cloud and Disaster Recovery solutions, owning product success throughout the sales lifecycle. You'll serve as a thought leader for overall Cloud Resilience architectural strategy while partnering with sales and engineering to drive technical wins and product enhancements for our Business Continuity services.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Provide technical leadership for Zscaler’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solutions, owning product success and architectural strategy throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Lead in-person and virtual meetings with customer executives and practitioners to provide executive-level overviews of Zscaler’s Cloud Reliability strategy and deep-dive technical workshops
  • Develop technical collateral, including best practice guides, proof-of-value (POV) test plans, and demo assets to support internal teams and customer presentations
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to drive product enhancements based on direct customer feedback and market trends
  • Act as a post-sales subject matter expert for Customer Success and Deployment teams to ensure successful technical implementation for customers

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful.
  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.
  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback—knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.
  • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of professional experience in product management, presales, or professional services within the infrastructure technology or cybersecurity industry
  • Deep technical domain expertise in Proxy Architecture, ZTNA, SSE, SASE, and internet protocols including HTTP, SSL, DNS, and IPsec
  • Proven track record of developing technical collateral and supporting GTM initiatives to achieve successful sales outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical practitioners and executive leadership
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Product Management teams

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Deep Zscaler hands-on experience and product knowledge across ZIA/ZPA and Zscaler Client Connector.
  • Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery architectures, strategies and solutions
  • Extensive experience in networking concepts and modern identity and access management (IAM) frameworks
