Trustpilot

Principal Product Manager

Edinburgh Full Time

At Trustpilot, we're on an incredible journey. We're a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company with a big vision: to become the universal symbol of trust. We run the world's largest independent consumer review platform, and while we've come a long way, there's still so much exciting work to do. Come join us at the heart of trust!

We're at the forefront of revolutionising the Product space and we're searching for innovative professionals like you to join us on this remarkable journey. Our team comprises strategic leaders in product development, motivated by an unwavering commitment to delivering customer value at scale.

This is a high-autonomy, Individual Contributor (IC) Principal Product Manager role where you can expect to make a significant impact. You will define, own and execute the product vision, strategy and roadmap end-to-end. This role demands executive-level influence and high-stakes decision-making without the distraction of direct line management.

You’ll be joining a small team that’s focused on balancing commercial opportunity with the business mission to protect the platform and ensure legitimacy. This is not just about compliance, your product leadership must simultaneously drive revenue and rigorously defend the integrity of our review ecosystem against sophisticated abuse vectors, fake businesses and fraudulent activity. Success is defined by achieving both growth and trust.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Establish the long-term product strategy and roadmap, from concept to launch and ongoing iteration, refining based on deep data analysis and direct customer feedback.
  • Expertly engage in high-level stakeholder management, providing concise, direct updates and effectively championing the product with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Set and drive targets for customer adoption and product monetisation, ensuring commercial success is achieved without compromising the platform's core commitment to legitimacy and consumer trust.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery across the product squad (Engineering, Data Science, UX & Analytics) to manage the backlog, lead refinements and execute the roadmap efficiently.
  • Ensure platform integrity, embed security and trust, ensuring the product incorporates automated systems to detect misuse and guard against illegitimate practices.
  • Define and execute the strategy for our identity and verification products (KYC/KYB), ensuring our platform is built on legitimate business identities and build trust between those businesses and consumers.

Who You Are:

  • You clearly communicate the ‘why’ behind your decisions, adeptly building consensus and setting clear expectations across the organisation to ensure alignment.
  • You believe in experimentation (A/B testing, MVT) to drive meaningful, data-backed insights. You’re continuously iterating and refining the product based on what works, not what's assumed.
  • You possess considerable product management experience (preferably 5+ years) within Agile environments. You are fully self-sufficient and commercially minded, ready to challenge ideas respectfully while putting the product first.
  • Proven experience with a SaaS business model and monetisation, ideally including subscription and revenue models.
  • You are an effective Individual Contributor who thrives on autonomy, driving strategic decision-making and taking full product ownership (people leadership experience not required).
  • Experience with KYB (Know Your Business) or KYC (Know Your Customer) is highly advantageous given the verification focus of this role.
  • Background in building and iterating products focused on Trust & Safety, Fraud Detection, Anti-Abuse, or Financial Crime would be beneficial.

What's in it for you?

  • A range of flexible working options to dedicate time to what matters most.
