About the Job
The Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) product management team seeks qualified candidates to help expand RHEL to the public cloud. Demand for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the public cloud is growing rapidly in response to industry trends and users’ needs to scale and manage IT infrastructure while also reducing the time-to-market for their services. Red Hat’s (Open Hybrid Cloud) strategy to capture workloads in hybrid infrastructure is positioned well to support this trend. Data shows that the public cloud is the preferred deployment footprint of the Open Hybrid Cloud.
As Product Manager, you will work to expand RHEL in one or more leading hyperscalers in the public cloud. These hyperscalers are critical to RHEL’s strategy which calls for ecosystem-led growth. In this capacity, you will assess market opportunity, validate new routes to market, define technical and business requirements to maintain RHEL’s position as the leading commercial Open Source Linux operating system. You will be a strong advocate for your portfolio and serve as a representative of the overall product team, and you will be expected to create confidence and excitement among customers, internal stakeholders, and the broader product team. You will have excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. This is a great opportunity to work on a fast-growing offering alongside some of the brightest minds in open source.
What You Will Do
Collect and document input from stakeholders, customers, partners, and others to contribute to the ongoing strategy definition and roadmap for our offerings in the cloud
Jointly define go-to-market strategies with strategic cloud providers that include product-led and partner-led growth
Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver new offerings to the cloud route
As needed, define, update or execute delivery processes to ensure timely delivery and easy consumption of new offerings by cloud users across one or more cloud providers
Tell a compelling story about RHEL as the foundation for innovation for both internal and external ecosystems
Identify key differentiators that set RHEL apart from the competition
Identify new areas of growth for RHEL offerings by participating in get-to-market activities with business leads
What You Will Bring
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A good understanding of public cloud including key capabilities of leading cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally
Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and analyze data to foster data-driven decisions
Relevant coursework or experience in Management Information Systems (MIS), Marketing, Business Administration, Systems Administration or related field
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
