What you'll do...

As a Principal Product Manager for Walmart Global Marketplace Seller Compliance, you will lead the strategy and execution of complex RegTech platforms that safeguard the integrity, safety, and compliance of our marketplace ecosystem. You will design and scale systems that effectively balance business growth with risk mitigation, enabling Walmart to operate responsibly on a global scale.  This role requires strong product leadership, deep stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning. You will drive alignment across cross-functional partners, mentor team members, and champion innovation to continuously improve platform capabilities in a fast-paced, high-scale environment.  You will own end-to-end Seller compliance platforms and experiences, including seller onboarding compliance, risk detection, policy enforcement, and remediation workflows across the seller’s lifecycle. Partnering closely with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Business teams, you will translate complex regulatory and policy requirements into scalable, auditable, and high-performing product solutions.  ABOUT THE TEAM    Join the Marketplace Compliance and Enforcement platform team, focused on building cutting-edge Reg-Tech solutions to ensure sellers meet legal and regulatory requirements. Our mission is to develop scalable systems and experiences for seller assessment, policy enforcement, detection and remediation workflows, and audit-ready regulatory controls.

What you'll do:
  • Define and drive the product roadmap from discovery through delivery. 
  • Translate regulatory and policy requirements into scalable, user-centric product solutions. 
  • Identify trends and opportunities in partnership with Business Strategy to inform product direction. 
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to design optimal solutions, balancing scalability, risk, and time-to-market. 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to design, build, and launch new product capabilities. 
  • Ensure platform decisions are auditable, traceable, and explainable. 
  • Leverage data, experimentation (A/B testing), and research to inform product decisions. 
  • Use data insights to continuously improve product performance and user experience 
  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of data, deriving actionable insights to guide product development. 
  • Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and drive product decisions. 
  • Partner with Compliance Ops and Seller Support to identify pain points and drive experience improvements 
  • Work with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence. 
  • Own product launches and maintain a rolling roadmap of iterations and enhancements. 
  • Define, track, and optimize key product, and compliance metrics 
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across global teams to ensure successful execution 

What you'll bring:
  • You have deep experience in Compliance, Risk, Trust & Safety or Enforcement platforms. 
  • You have built or scaled platforms from 0-> 1 or 1-> in regulated environments 
  • You understand regulatory frameworks such as KYC, AML, marketplace compliance, or product safety 
  • You have experience designing detection and enforcement systems, including rules engines and ML-based solutions 
  • You have built human-in-the-loop systems such as case management and review workflows 
  • You make sound, high-judgment decisions with incomplete data and thrive in ambiguity. 
  • You collaborate effectively across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Engineering, UX and Business stakeholders 
  • You use data to inform strategy, drive decisions, and deliver measurable impact. 
  • You are customer-obsessed, always starting with the ‘why’ before defining the ‘what’ and ‘how’. 
  • You operate with strong organizational discipline, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail. 
  • You excel at engaging and communicating with stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
