The Role 

A Senior Product leader, responsible for, developing product strategy and driving maximum revenue and profit from our Financial Messaging products. An integral part of the Financial Messaging product leadership team, contributing towards the broader business performance and strategy. This critical role leads from the front and drives results. 

The role requires excellent communication, storytelling and collaboration skills, team leadership and solid judgement, as well as the ability to forge strong working relationships within the Bottomline organization.  

The incumbent will have deep experience in Product Strategy, Product Development, Product Management and how Data and Intelligence products can deliver benefits to our customers. The role is responsible for staying current on market changes and customer needs that could influence product strategy, product goals, product roadmap and product delivery. 

How you’ll contribute

  • Responsible for product planning and delivery throughout the product lifecycle, including product messaging and positioning, go to market activities and competitive intelligence  
  • Product roadmap, strategy and prioritisation including the successful rollout, working with development teams to set the right priorities for the build, rollout and adoption  
  • Collaborate with other product leaders to ensure products and services are driving towards the same north star proposition 
  • Identify and highlight the key benefits and value propositions to collaborate on marketing plans and collateral including PR/social/media, external updates, product training and sales training 
  • Be current with voice of market and customer needs by consistently engaging with analysts and industry leaders to keep pace with market shifts and competitive landscape 
  • Develop a product revenue forecast based on input from marketing, sales, customer success, support and external 3rd parties    
  • Work closely with Product owners, development/engineering and other teams to deliver and maintain high quality products that align with product vision, market and customer needs 
  • Act as evangelist & advocate for Classic across the business to drive sales and product usage within a variety of market segments and regions 
  • Be recognized as a thought leader for corporate and intelligence products and build relationships with key stakeholders 
  • Communicate to product line teams about newly released product features and functionality, providing training sessions, internal overviews, FAQs and other process support documentation as needed  

If you have the attributes, skills, and experience listed below, we want to hear from you.

  • 5+ years of leading a product line and product management   
  • Demonstrated success working in Product Management with strong understanding of how innovative products drive revenue for a growth organization 
  • Experience defining strategy, roadmap and bringing products to market  
  • Ability to grasp complex business requirements and products quickly   
  • Self-starter who knows how to ‘get things done’ 
  • Analytical thinker who thrives on solving customer problems  
  • Demonstrated success in a matrixed, fast-paced environment   
  • Experience in a SaaS environment  
  • Experience with Agile software development principles desired   
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
