TITLE: Principal
LOCATION: New York, NY (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)
DUTIES: Manage marketing and fundraising for products on the alternative investment platform as well as investment planning and portfolio construction for customized private equity investment programs with Japanese investors, including assisting with the production and presentation of materials, organizing and coordinating onsite meetings for Japanese clients. Liaise with senior investment team members and Japanese sales force, legal, finance, and operations teams to deliver materials and prepare responses to Requests for Proposal and other prospect/client inquiries. Work closely with investment teams to provide communication and updates internally and externally during fundraising processes. Spearhead fundraising and customize investment solutions specifically for Japanese clients. Lead communication with Japanese investors such as financial institutions and pension funds on a daily basis to conduct various client services. Build deep understanding of private equity strategies, including Primary fund investments, Equity Co-Investments, Secondaries, Private Credit and a number of other Specialty Strategies in serving as a product specialist for the Japanese sales team. Strategically plan business development initiatives. Mentor junior team members.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any field plus six (6) years of experience working with Japanese financial institutions or investors in the investment banking or private equity industry in the position offered, as a Financial Investment Analyst, or a related position. Must have six (6) years of experience conducting financial modeling and cash flow analyses based on stochastic and deterministic cash flow models by utilizing Microsoft Excel. Must also possess three (3) years of experience with all of the following: Marketing and fundraising from institutional investors, including Japanese investors for private equity Products; Conducting private equity portfolio construction from both top-down and bottom-up approaches; Conducting review of private equity fund legal documents and fund Financial Statements and Capital Account Statements; and Performing legal side letter negotiations to meet investment guideline requested by each investor. Must have the ability to read, write and speak fluent Japanese.
HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)
SALARY: $300,000 - $300,000 per year

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $300,000-$300,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
