This distinguished thought leader is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and qualifying new, high-value provider and health system partnerships in untapped markets. This is a highly strategic, individual contributor role focused on building the foundational relationships and market intelligence necessary to fuel our growth. Success in this role is built on deep, trust-based relationships with our provider partners. Therefore, a core requirement of this position is residence within one of our key markets (IL, KY, AR, or MO) to ensure a consistent and impactful in-market presence.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Influence business decisions by identifying, researching, and prioritizing new markets and provider partnerships that align with our 3-year strategic growth plan.
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to initiate and nurture relationships with C-suite leaders at target provider organizations.
  • Serve as a distinguished thought leader and the face of the company in new markets, articulating our value proposition and building credibility with prospective partners.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand the competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and financial opportunities in target expansion areas.
  • Develop and present the initial business case for pursuing a new market or provider partner, then seamlessly transition qualified, high-potential leads to the contracting team for formal negotiation.
  • Create and maintain a robust pipeline of development opportunities and provide regular updates to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Public Health, Business, or Healthcare Administration strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in healthcare business development, network development, or strategic sales, with a deep network of provider contacts.
  • Recognized as an expert in the Medicare Advantage or managed care industry, with a highly specialized skillset in market analysis and relationship cultivation.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching new markets or strategic partnerships.
  • Distinguished ability to engage and influence senior executives and C-suite leaders.
  • A self-starter with a true 'hunter' mentality, driven by the challenge of building something new and a relentless focus on achieving growth targets.
