Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced ESD/LU technology device engineer to work on our advanced technology nodes delivering ESD/LU protection designs/solutions and enablement.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent teamwork. The position will require strong interaction with many teams inside GlobalFoundries to enable ESD/LU technology milestones and customer solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
Defines the ESD strategy for new technologies and new product requirements.
Provides ESD design reviews and guidance to both GF and external customers.
Performs specialized design, develops ESD devices, understands the process integration that leads to device characterization.
Optimizes ESD devices by understanding the semiconductor device physics, and device integration process associated.
Enables new features with efficiency for new technologies, features, or device introduction.
Generate ESD test site and test structure designs.
Guides ESD Compact modeling.
Performs ESD/LU characterization.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Education – MS + 8 or more years or PhD + 7 or more years in EE or related field
Skills - Cadence Virtuoso and ADE, data characterization
Travel - Up to 10%
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications
Experience – 5 years or more as an ESD device engineer.
Skills - Data analysis tools (JMP, R, Excel, Matlab, DMACS, JASPER), circuit simulation.
Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning & organizational skills.
Expected Salary Range
$131,900.00 - $241,500.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
