Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

What you'll do:

Defines Technical Solutions and ensures alignment throughout the lifecycle.  Provides leadership for the evolving network system architectural capabilities of the entire E2E solution. Works closely with the Lead Program Managers, Solution Architects and System Engineers to ensure that overall program and product strategies align with business and technical objectives: Facilitates important test design decisions for SAFe Trains, business unit projects & program needs.

  • Specifies the components and their interactions that comprise the End to End Integrated Architecture including: Work with clients, stakeholders, and development teams to define detailed technical flow that can be utilized for client reviews, training, mops, testing (Unit Test, System Test, Integrated System Test, User Acceptance Test); Identify, capture feature capabilities throughout the system flow including interfaces and collaborations between them.
  • Defines a shared technical and client vision focused on creating technical artifacts that provide visibility for the full Solution. 
  • Typically provides support in one or more of the following areas: Internal Processes including creation and management of policies/standards/processes, process improvement and transformation, tool deployment, and DevOps methodology; Financial Oversight including financial modeling and analysis, business case preparation and return on investment; Analysis/Reporting including metrics, scorecards, client utilization/satisfaction, performance analysis and gap identification; Planning including infrastructure program coordination, roadmap management, strategic and tactical planning; Resource Management including workflow and work entry management, project estimations; Communication including creation of leadership presentation material including video creation, event planning, and overall deliverables.  May work across multiple internal and/or external organizations.

What you'll need:

  • Experience planning and delivering network systems used across multiple products and organizational units.
  • Ability to define quality engineering strategies for automation, functional, integration/E2E & performance quality engineering services for assigned agile value streams.
  • In-Depth experience with Agile, SAFe & DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
  • Experience with public cloud platforms i.e. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
  • Experience with JIRA implementation across projects, programs & applications.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure operational delivery effectiveness in project/release work.
  • Contribute in Value Stream PI events to measure, manage and progress on quality engineering roadmap and delivery outcomes.
  • Design E2E environment strategy, test strategy and FFA strategy in support to business unit projects, SAFe trains etc.
  • Evaluate and select automation, functional and performance engineering tools for different products and applications.
  • Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces.
  • Validate network technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives.
  • Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others.
  • Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including:
    • Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and explore alternatives
    • Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities
    • Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers
    • Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops
    • Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms

Our Principal Member of Technical Staff, earns between $180,200-$270,400 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
