Responsibilities:
Lead strategic planning and development of advanced mass properties technologies.
Inventory and weigh aircraft.
Provide visionary leadership and technical direction across multiple projects.
Represent the company at industry conferences and in technical forums.
Mentor senior engineers and develop technical talent within the organization.
Establish and influence industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering goals with business objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across engineering functions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
14+ years of relevant experience.
Extensive experience in advanced mechanical design and analysis principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Advanced experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Deep knowledge of SAWE
Qualifications We Prefer:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, and fundamentals of flight mechanics.
Practices RP-7 and RP-8.
Experience with aircraft weighing and associated forms and charts.
Familiarity with Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) for military programs.
Prior mass properties team leadership experience.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military
Essential Functions:
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
May require lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Work in an office, lab, hangar, or hybrid environment.
May be required to occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
